Brief Synopsis – A Detroit Detective travels to L.A. to try and solve the murder of a friend.
My Take on it – Hilarious film that works so well.
Murphy is perfectly cast in the lead role and allows the story to be a great combination of action with comedy.
The film’s plot plays out really well and stays so thrilling throughout.
Murphy’s constant quips and jokes throughout the movie work so well in adding a bit of levity to it all which enhances the way things are seen here.
The supporting cast is also superb and they help keep the story focused and fun from start to finish due to the way that all of the characters deal with everything that transpires here.
The music is great and the film’s synthesized theme is amazing even after nearly 40 years.
I’m still floored by the fact that Sylvester Stallone was originally the lead of this film and it always makes me wonder what kind of movie that one would have been.
Highly Recommended!
