“He’s my son and I’ll break his neck any way I please! ” – His father
Number of Times Seen – 1 (19 Nov 2022)
Brief Synopsis – A boy and a girl whose families have a feud fall in love and try to overcome their families’ issues.
My Take on it – Another fun Buster Keaton film that is good, but isn’t among his very best films.
The modern take on Romeo and Juliet is a nice twist of things and that adds a bit more power to this story, but something still falls a bit flat along the way.
The slapstick aspects of the film are hit or miss and the best gag is the triple decker one that is so thrilling to watch unfold.
The story is done in a simple fashion and that adds even more to the way it all plays out, even if despite this, it still isn’t enough.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Italian censorship visa # 18955 delivered on 1923. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (6/10)
