The Assassination & Mrs. Paine (2022)

“This was an explosive conspiratorial letter.” – Peter Dale Scott

Number of Times Seen – 1 (1 Dec 2022)

Brief Synopsis – Documentary about one of the most curious witnesses in the Kennedy Assassination Warren Report.

My Take on it – This is a fascinating documentary about Ruth Paine who was a close friend of the Oswalds.

The documentary does a nice job of trying to show the two sides of this story which adds even more to the controversy and conspiracy theories of the JFK Assassination 59 years ago.

The film has some great interviews with a few of the remaining key players from that fateful November.

The film finds a way to walk the thin line between fact and fiction while trying to decipher what really happened.

Many of the documents that were classified decades ago and are still awaiting declassification could shed even more light on the truth, but the number of people who can still tell their stories are slowly dwindling and this film gives us one more look at that.

Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Ruth Paine answered more than 5,000 questions for the Warren Commission. There were over 500 witnesses for the Warren Commission, and the average number of questions asked for each witness was less than 300. Furthermore, Ruth Paine has given more interviews than any other Warren Commission witness, always consistent with her Warren Commission testimony. (From Wikipedia)

Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
