Brief Synopsis – A police officer who deals with very difficult things on a daily basis, tries to find meaning in his life and work.
My Take on it – Interesting idea that unfortunately isn’t presented in the best way since it comes off in a very preachy way.
The story is one that has been told numerous times before, but the fact that this specific tale is based on a true story adds to the impact that it can have.
The characters all seem a bit too stereotypical even though this is based on a real story.
The film’s plot does ask some great questions about life and faith, but the answers just aren’t shown in a powerful enough way.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In the scene right after the baby’s birth, Jonathan pours a drink and knocks over a baby bottle; in the background is a pink bubblegum cigar that says “It’s a Girl!” This cigar was actually given to the real-life Jonathan by Stacy’s dad when Stacy and Jonathan’s daughter Ana was born. Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
