Brief Synopsis – Following the events of the previous movie, the superhero still alive try to put the pieces back together until one of them comes up with a plan to make things right again.
My Take on it – One of the very best sequels in movie history because it takes what it was given beforehand and builds on it and then turns everything on its head which still staying so thrilling and suspenseful from start to finish. The film is over 3 hours long, yet never feels that way due to the fact that things move along constantly. The vast number of characters helps to send off small groups on separate missions in order to expand the scope of everything transpiring here. The cast is obviously spectacular and they find ways to include just about everyone in all that happens here. The special effects enhance the film so much, but it’s the blending of action, comedy and drama is what helps elevate it to an even higher level, unreached by most movies.
Highly Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This is the first (and, given his announced “semi-retirement”, presumably the only) film where Robert Redford has returned to play a role for a second time. In his 59-year career, Redford has otherwise never played the same role twice in a franchise. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10) (no change from original review)
