“We’ve witnessed your human capacity for war. You would absolutely bring more harm than good. ” – Optimus Prime
Number of Times Seen – 4 (23 Jul 2009, Jun 2011, Sep 2012 and 3 Sep 2014)
Brief Synopsis – The Autobots form an alliance with the military in order to find the remaining Decepticons hiding out on Earth.
My Take on it – As he did 2 years beforehand, Michael Bay was able to make a very fun action movie using great special effects but with a weak story and still make millions at the box office.
As I’ve said before, the idea of creating a good movie to generate revenue is perfectly acceptable in my book. Obviously, I’d be happier if it was better but not all movies can be perfect.
I’m once again amazed at the nearly flawless way that the real action and effects are merged so that it seems as if the Transformers and humans are truly interacting.
The idea of teaming us elite soldiers and the Autobots was quite reminiscent for me of the series of comics from
my youth where the Transformers and GI Joe worked together.
Great action sequences!
Bottom Line – Once again great special effects but the storyline is severely lacking. Nostalgic for me but only entertaining for the action sequences. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy

Man, fuck this movie. Saw it back in theaters when it first came out and honestly, still have yet to forgive it for practically stealing $10 from me. Good review.

Yeah, I think we’re gonna have to agree to disagree on this one Dan 🙂
I think part of my liking this was because I am quite familiar with the comics and cartoon and it was pretty faithful. Not a movie I would watch over and over, but still was fun.
Didn’t like the 3rd one as much tho and I have yet to see the 4th

I’ve only seen 2 Transformer movies and those are way too many! This is such an awful franchise that I wish would go away forever.

I actual can understand where they are coming from, so I’m somewhat sympathetic to the cause, but I agree that it isn’t the best franchise ever.
