Brief Synopsis – A documentary on the Golden Gate Bridge and its tendency to be used by people wishing to commit suicide.

My Take on it – I heard about this movie due to its very controversial nature and was interested in seeing if it warrants that stigma or not.

Yes, this is not an easy movie to watch at all because it depicts real suicides, but it is filmed in a caring and tasteful way in order to try and understand what possible caused the motives for these people wishing to end their lives.

The stories and interviews are all interesting to watch, but the most captivating ones are the ones dealing with attempts because it gives us a lot more insight into the minds of these troubled people.

To make this movie, they must have had to do so much research in order to track down family members and friends of those who chose to end their lives this way.

I completely understand now why this is deemed a controversial movie, but I also think that it helps us understand slightly the minds of some of the “victims”.

Bottom Line – Very interesting documentary that is not easy to watch.  All of the stories are interesting, but the most captivating ones are about the attempts that didn’t succeed because it gives us more clarity.  Understandable why this is so controversial and I’m sure it wasn’t easy to track down everyone who is interviewed. Recommended!
