Hotel Artemis (2018)

Brief Synopsis – After a robbery goes wrong, two brothers enlist the help of a secret hospital where criminals can get medical help as long as they follow 10 simple rules.

My Take on it – This is a film that I’ve been interested in seeing ever since I saw the trailer 6 months ago.

I’m glad that I finally got the opportunity to see it.

The premise of the film is a great one and works really well largely due to the fact that it seems quite conceivable that such a thing could happen.

Having seen the trailer, I was slightly dreading the fact that all was revealed in those few minutes but the magic of this film is that the trailer actually gives a great overview of the story while allowing the film itself to pursue other directions while still staying true to one another.

The cast of this film is excellent and Jodie Foster is almost unrecognizable as The Nurse.

The story itself feels quite realistic the entire time and it unfolds into unexpected places over and over which help it stay very interesting and thrilling.

The way that they tell the story is done in a unique fashion and I’m sure that this film will require multiple viewings in order to completely appreciate everything that happens here.

Bottom Line – Great premise that works really well. Love the way that the trailer doesn’t give anything away and instead makes one believe that the premise revolves around something else entirely.  Excellent cast helps make this story feel quite realistic as it unfolds in ways that are quite unexpected. The story itself is quite unique and will require multiple viewings to completely appreciate everything that happens here. Recommended!

No disrespectful words or actions allowed against Hotel Artemis staff. 3. No guns of any type or weapon permitted through the gates. 4. Memberships must be paid for in full and in advance. 5. Prior but lapsed members will not be admitted 6. No photography or video allowed. 7. No outside food or drink. 8. Absolutely no visitors. 9.
