Brief Synopsis – A twenty dollar bill travels around Los Angeles as it moves from owner to owner.
My Take on it – Brilliant idea that works so well due to the fact that the main character is actually a Twenty Dollar bill and not a character. The film tells mini stories about all of the people who come into possession of this bill and I loved the way it plays out. The cast is great even of none of them can truly be considered the main character. The film’s story shows how many lives items touch as they move from place to place and hand to hand without any of us really understanding the path and direction that they take. The originality of the idea is what makes this so profound especially when we get to see interactions between characters that they themselves don’t seem to realize. Love the idea of portmanteau films and this is perfectly executed.
Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – All the stories were self-contained in the first draft of the script. The idea to have the characters overlap from story to story, was conceived during re-writes of the screenplay. (From IMDB)
Rating – ?? Worthy (?/10) (no change from original review)
