Brief Synopsis – Anakin and Obi-Won are sent to protect Senator Amidala after an attempt is made on her life in order to stop an important Senate vote from happening.

My Take on it – Yes. I’m a proud Star Wars geek and I will always be an advocate of the amazingness of the six current films.

Im well aware of the known fact that George Lucas has some wondrous ideas in his head, but he still hasn’t found his ‘voice’ when it comes to writing dialogue.

The love scene dialogue in this movie is definitely Lucas at his best (or is it worst) and even a huge fan like me cringes at some of the lines of dialogue and with how they are being spoken.

When it comes to plots and themes Lucas is a pure genius and is able to combine numerous genres to give us a very effective ‘bridge’ movie between the bookended pieces of the Prequels.

We get mystery, intrigue, action, chases and of course a final lightsaber duel.

The special effects are once again the best possible the market has to offer at the time because it was all done by ILM.

Loved how they teased us with some of the informational background on the Jedis and of the Republic itself.
Great to see some fan favorites finally getting to be able to fight while still drawing from the power of the Force.

Once again it was great to share this with my kids and they also found it very thrilling. As soon as it ended, they wanted to start the next one, but we didn’t have time that day to continue.

Bottom Line – Despite its cheesy Lucas written dialogue, I love the story presented here because its able to combine so many different genres in the storyline that bridges the first and last of the prequels. Amazing action scenes, top notch special effects and further information on the Republic and the Jedi Order makes for a thrilling film. Great to see some fan favorite characters utilizing and drawing from the full power of the Force. Highly recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia –  According to George Lucas, Obi-Wan’s hiding in Geonosis’ asteroid field teaches young Boba Fett a lesson that he uses to his advantage during adulthood. Having learned how Obi-Wan hid from him and his father, Boba Fett knows the trick Han Solo is using to hide in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and is able to find him. (From IMDB)

Rating – Oscar Worthy (no change from original review)

    • Sith is my fav of the prequels but my fav scene here is when yoda showed us his moves. His fight in sith is also classic. The coliseum fight is the best battle of all 6 by far
