Brief Synopsis – Two hippies travel across the desert on their way to the sea
My Take on it – I have always wondered why Steven Spielberg named his production company Amblin Entertainment and then I recently found out that his first movie was called that, so I decided to check it out.
Apparently this is a movie that is meant to be understood on a different level because I found it to be pretty average.
It was a bit interesting watching these two hippies as they meet and travel together but I was expected more to happen.
There is no dialogue what-so-ever, but rather just music playing through the entire story that lasts close to 30 minutes.
Bottom Line – Actually didn’t think this was much better than average. It was basically a silent movie about two people who meet while hitchhiking and their experiences together over the next few days. I’m sure there is a deeper meaning to this film, but it goes beyond my capabilities to understand it.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Lent its name to Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin. (From IMDB)
