Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)

“[Points his pen at Harold] Hey! NPH wouldn’t do that, all right? Now let me see some I.D.” – Officer Palumbo

Number of Times Seen – Twice (7 Jan 2008 and 14 Mar 2021)

Brief Synopsis – Two stoners spend a nice seeking out the perfect munchy food while dealing with the regular problems of their lives.

My Take on it – Hilarious film that works so well due to the amazing performances by John Cho and Kal Penn.

The two of them have superb chemistry together and we can really believe their friendship has no limits.

The story takes us on a really fun roller coaster ride as their night gets crazier and crazier as things unfold.

The humor goes a bit too far a few times along the way, yet still finds ways to stay funny throughout.

Te supporting cast is also great and they all add so much to helping keep the story so enjoyable and entertaining to watch.

The best supporting role in this is played by an almost unrecognizable Christopher Meloni.

IN addition, Niel Patrick Harris plays a parody of himself that is so funny to watch because it’s such an extreme portrayal of his personality.

The fact that this role helped him get the role on How I Met Your Mother is amazing.

The plot is pretty simple, yet they are able to truly milk it for so many laughs.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – As a “thank you” for all of the free advertising the film gave them, White Castle arranged to have collectible “Harold and Kumar” cups at all of their locations during the film’s release. It marks the first time an R-rated comedy is advertised on fast food containers. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
