Genre Guesstimation – Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)

The idea behind this feature (Genre Guesstimation) is for me to watch a bunch of new movies (or ones that I haven’t seen many times) from the chosen monthly GG genre in order to expand my knowledge of movies within that particular genre.

This month’s genre has been chosen by Marc of French Toast Sundays and we will be reviewing our favorite Live Action Disney Films.

Try to think out of the box!

Let’s see if I felt that this movie would be worthy of being in the company of my others favorite movies in the genre of Live Action Disney Films…….

Number of Times Seen – 1 (11 Nov 2021)

Brief Synopsis – A businessman travels to a far off island to get his estranged wife to sign divorce papers so he can get remarried, but she has a surprise for him.

My Take on it – Terrible film that isn’t funny in the least.

Tim Allen is an amazing comedian, but his performance here is atrocious because he isn’t given anything to really work with.

The whole premise feels far too absurd and far-fetched and that doesn’t help make things any more enjoyable to watch unfold.

The aspects of the film that should be funny, fail to illicit any laughter because it all is presented in a horrendous way.

Even taking into account that this is a Disney movie aimed at kids doesn’t help because of the silliness of it all the whole way through.

None of the characters are likable at all and that also makes it so much more difficult to want to like or even care about any of them.
