Brief Synopsis – Documentary that takes a look of what makes comedians funny and how they work their craft.
My Take on it – This is a movie I came across after learning about the untimely death of Gilbert Gottfried recently.
I’ve always loved his brand of comedy and after hearing this sad news, I looked around for a few films or documentaries featuring him.
This is such a fascinating and profound documentary that shows the process of how comedians are able to peddle their trade.
The film has lots and lots of interviews with many well known comedians who explain their own paths to stardom thru a very difficult process that is never easy to try and get through because of the hardships along the way.
hearing these personal stories is great and the way that each of these comedians explain their own various ups and downs is amazing to watch and shows that being a comedian isn’t as easy a job as many might think it would be.
Love the way that there are so many stories told here and how they each are so unique in their tales.
As funny and insightful as this film is, something still feels missing that would help make it even better and more enjoyable; perhaps some more shots of these comedians performing, instead of just having talking heads fir the while time.
