Brief Synopsis – A 90 year old is hired by the drug cartel in order to ferry drugs across state lines.
My Take on it – Such an amazing film that works so well largely due to the performance of Clint Eastwood. He perfectly cast himself in the lead role and it comes across as something so powerful and realistic. The fact that this is based on a true story is unbelievable and the events are so thrilling to watch due to the way it all is depicted. The supporting cast is also great and Bradley Cooper stands out among them all. The film shows what an influx of money can do for anyone trying to make a better life for themselves even if done so in a very unique way as shown here. The story also shows that it can never be too late to try and make amends even if they probably should have been done years, if not decades earlier. Things feel so real here and it all works so well from start to finish.
Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Andy Garcia was ready to accept any role in order to do a movie with Clint Eastwood. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10) (no change from original review)
