Brief Synopsis – After their parents are taken prisoner by a strange creature, a young boy and girl must enlist the help of the Ewoks in order to save them.

My Take on it – This is a film that I recall really enjoying as a kid. Upon rewatching it, one can easily see that the low production level keeps it too simplistic and far from the level one can expect from the Star Wars series. The dialogue is a bit too bland and makes one groan due to the lackadaisical manner in which it is shown. The characters aren’t developed at all and that also makes things more difficult to help care about. The way that they create this adventure has some merits tho and they do a wonderful job putting together this unlikely group of adventurers as they go on their journey.  The special effects are not up to par at all and that hurts things way too much in helping to make things look more realistic.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Joe Johnston, chief concept designer on the original Star Wars trilogy, was also the production designer on this movie. He not only created the overall look of the Ewoks with George Lucas. He also penned a children’s book, “The Adventures of Teebo”. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10) (downgrade from original review)
