“Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.” – Peter Clemenza
Number of Times Seen – 3 (at least) (on video in the 90’s and 23 March 2013)
Brief Synopsis – The story of the Corleone family business in 1940’s New York and it’s connection to the Mafia
My Take on it – Most people know something about the godfather movies, but for some reason I never really enjoyed the movie, but I think it was because I didn’t really understand it enough or actually pay attention to everything that was going on. Due to these facts, I was reluctant to watch it again.
Having re-watched it, I must admit, that it was such a great movie! I am so upset at myself for not having been able to enjoy such a well made movie.
If you’re gonna watch it, make sure you pay enough attention and follow everything said and done, otherwise, you may find yourself in my shoes; having to wait til age 39 to appreciate such a great movie.
Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall and James Caan all show how great they are as actors.
Bottom Line – Excellent movie. Highly recommended. I think it’s the best of the 3 Godfather movies.
Rating – Oscar Worthy
