Fight Club (1999)

fc“It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything.” – Tyler Durden

Number of Times Seen – 2 (27 Jul 2000 on DVD and 10 Jul 2013)

Brief Synopsis – An office worker meets a man who makes soap in his basement and together they form a club that helps men find an outlet for their frustrations.

My Take on it – I know that lots of people were completely enthralled by this movie, but I wasn’t so impressed.  I think the dialogue was great, but the story and plot were somewhat lacking in my opinion.

Ed Norton and Brad Pitt were both great as the two main characters and the choice to pair these two actors was the right one.

I don’t wanna talk too much about the movie itself because I don’t wanna ruin anything.

I actually enjoyed this movie less the second time than I did when I originally saw it back in 2000.

Bottom Line – Very interesting premise and done very well.  Wasn’t blown away, but still worth seeing it.

Rating – BAFTA Worthy
