Number of Times Seen – 1 (2 Mar 2019)

Brief Synopsis – An alien tries to save her species when she realizes that living on Earth is causing them to die off.

My Take on it – This is a film that I’ve been avoiding seeing ever since it came out 15 years ago.

The fact that The Vern of That Moment In chose it for next month’s Franchise MOTM at the LAMB made me take the plunge especially since this is the 3rd of the 4 films in the series that I have now committed myself to watching within the next week or so.

Usually, when a sequel to a film is planned, it tries to add something to the storyline of the previous films, and this film completely fails in that field.

The plot is almost completely missing and things move along into really strange territory.

The cast is almost completely unknown which makes sense for a sequel that no named actor wants to be attached to.

They do have a few cool scenes enhanced by special effects, but they dont help make the plot more comprehendable.

This film feels as if it’s on auto-pilot from start to finish and just intends to crash and burn by the end.

Bottom Line – Really bad addition to the franchise because it adds absolutely nothing to the storyline of the original and moves along in really strange places. The cast is almost completely unknown which is par for a sequel that no one really wants to be a part of. There are a few cool scenes featuring some nice special effects, but a plot is almost completely missing from this film and it feels as if it’s on auto-pilot from start to finish trying to crash and burn; which is manages to do quite well.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – A scene which was changed due to budgetary reasons had Sara scratch a campus student’s cheek with her alien finger, which looked like a spike. Instead, this was changed to Sara throwing the man over her into a hedge in the final film. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (3/10)
