Brief Synopsis – In the future, a refugee from Earth tries to find the long lost weapon that his father created decades earlier that could help save the refugees of Earth.

My Take on it – Such an innovative and fun film. I’m still surprised about the fact that this film bombed at the box office and caused the animation department of Fox to be closed down. The soundtrack is so enjoyable and enhances the story due to the beats of it all. The story itself is an amalgam of numerous other stories told in the past, but the way t all comes together is done exceptionally well. The voice cast is great with Matt Damon, Drew Barrymore, Bill Pullman, Janeane Garofalo , Nathan Lane and John Leguizamo and each of them help create such memorable characters.  This is yet another great Don Bluth animated film and I can’t wait to watch it again because of how poignant it is.

Highly Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – For a preview screening on 6 June 2000 in Atlanta, this movie was transmitted in digital form from the studio, across the Internet, to the digital projector at the theater. It never once touched film, and was the first major Hollywood film to be publicly previewed that way. (From IMDB)

Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10) (no change from original review)
