Number of Times Seen – 1 (15 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – A single mother with a deaf son move to a new community all the while trying to keep a dark secret from her son

My Take on it – Certain movies have a very interesting idea that start off really good but just can’t keep it up for the whole running time.

This movie falls into that category. The first 2/3 of this movie works well, but for some reason the last 1/3 just loses all the momentum and the viewer feels as if they reached the edge of a cliff and fell right off.

Which is quite a pity after starting off so well.

The acting is pretty good here, but the standout is most definitely Jack McElhone as the deaf ten year old boy.

Bottom Line – Interesting premise that seems to be missing some element that would elevate it to a higher level. Good cast, especially McElhone as the son. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
