“Memory is a wonderful thing if you don’t have to deal with the past. ” – Celine
Number of Times Seen – 1 (17 Nov 2014)
Brief Synopsis – Celine and Jesse meet up again after nine years and try to pick up from where they left off despite numerous changes in their lives and outlooks.
My Take on it – Director Richard Linklater and actors Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke manage what could seem to be impossible with this movie.
They take a story and characters and somehow found a way to continue on with their story close to a decade later while still finding a way for us to once again love the characters.
Their conversations have changed due to their life experiences, but the chemistry between them remains and despite a time lapse, they find a way to connect to one another.
The script and dialogue once again work extremely well for us to believe that they are real.
Bottom Line – Great sequel that despite almost a decade gap in filming manages to recapture what we loved about the original. Great script once again. Highly recommended!
Rating – Oscar Worthy

I’m a romantic so the first one is still my favourite, but this is so delightful. Wonderful analysis on it. And perfect choice of quote. Would you mind most awfully if I used it on mine?

I remember this the least of the three – think I need to watch the first two together again sometime. Know I liked this almost as much as the first, though. 🙂
