“[after he pricks Tony with his badge] Sorry, it’s funny how annoying a little prick can be.” – Senator Stern
Number of Times Seen – 2 (22 Nov 2010 and 9 Jan 2014)
Brief Synopsis – The continuing adventures of millionaire superhero Tony Stark. This time he takes on a Senator who wants to shut his business down and a Russian scientist seeking revenge.
My Take on it – Once again, we have been given a fun and energetic addition to the Marvel Avenger’s universe.
Robert Downey Jr. once again proves how similar he and Tony Stark really are.
Mickey Rouke plays a formidable villain to Stark’s Iron Man and Sam Rockwell is great as an arms dealer in competition with Stark.
I also loved Gary Shandling as the smug Senator and this line (quoted above) is hilarious!
This movie is filled with everything one would expect from a superhero movie; fun main character who knows how to kick butt, a bad guy willing to do anything to win, lots of fast moving action scenes and tons of great gadgets.
This was the first Marvel Avenger’s sequel and it shows that they still have lots in the tank and that things aren’t about to slow down.
Bottom Line – A worthy entry into the Marvel Avenger’s universe. Downey Jr. once again shows he truly IS Tony Stark. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy
