Besides watching current new movies, I like to try and catch lots of older movies that I’ve never seen for the first time.
In 2016, I watched a total of 517 *NEW* movies (only 80 were from 2016) to me
Below is my Top Ten new movies that I watched during 2016 that were released in previous years. Since, due to my true belief that it’s very difficult to rank movies from different genres (or even years) together, I’ve decided to keep this list alphabetical. (I do have a clear #1 tho) 😉

Really interesting to see what older films you enjoyed. I like this kind of yearly breakdown. Good stuff! For me, of these listed movies, I loved Dial M for Murder, and Wait Until Dark.

You know me and thrillers. I really like a well-done mystery. I haven’t seen as many older movies as I should, so I use your lists as kind of like what my homework should be. I need to see most of these movies you listed. Thanks for championing the films that came before… and have no CGI FX whatsoever 😉
