“I don’t make things complicated. That’s the way they get, all by themselves.” – Martin Riggs
Number of Times Seen – Too many to count (Cable, Video, DVD and 9 Sep 2013)
Brief Synopsis – A veteran cop and a young distraught cop must work together to catch a band of drug dealers.
My Take on it – This is definitely the ultimate buddy-buddy cop movie!
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover both were meant for these parts. They each fit there respective characters almost perfectly. In fact they did it so well, they had three sequels made over the next decade.
The storyline and action are well done here and it shows. The movie is a constant roller coaster of action and it doesn’t stop until the end. This is a high adrenaline movie that shows that you can have a plot AND still have an action packed enjoyable 2 hours.
This is the most serious of the 4 movies in the series, and it is also the best and most fun to watch!
Bottom Line – Great action buddy-buddy cop flick, if not one of the best! Great characters and interesting story. Highly recommended!
Rating – Oscar Worthy

My husband recently made me watch all four of the films, and I have to say that even though I usually watch romcoms, I really enjoyed all of them. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover seemed to have a great chemistry and Joe Pesci made me laugh so much! 🙂
